Hi everyone

My normal workflow in LR Classic is to tether directly. Currently my OS is Mojave. I am interested in upgrading to Catalina for the single purpose of using the Sidecar option with my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.

My concern is that I see mixed reports of the Catalina upgrade and how it impacts on LR, specifically their tethering option. There seems to be a workaround, turning the camera on BEFORE selecting.

I wanted to ask what peoples experience was with the workaround before I commit to the OS upgrade.

Many thanks

Jon
ps I have upgraded to the latest version of LR Classic.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I believe the answer is that it won't work until Nikon makes changes in their API that LR uses to talk to the camera.
There are lots of reasons not to upgrade to Catalina just yet. There are still other incompatibilities with LR that Apple/Adobe need to resolve.

What are those?
I don't have a complete list in my head, but a few that I remember are: Problems with 3rd party plugins; Volume "Macintosh HD" appears multiple times in the Folder panel; Issues with Catalinas new file security...
