I'm often shooting with Leicas and a few lenses are not 6-bit coded, meaning you might need to set the lens metadata manually if the Leica allows for it (which excludes screenless M60 and M-D). I've just realized that one of the manual settings overrides the 6-bit coding and is sticky, so all lenses are tagged incorrectly until that is changed. Fortunately I remember which lens I used last in a long mis-attributed series of shots.
How do I copy the lens metadata only, verbatim, from one shot and paste it over a series of other shots? It's important to copy exactly what Leica had written for the correct lens, e.g. "Leica Camera AG Summilux -M 1:1.4/28 ASPH." or some such.
