My colleague has been working on a copy of my catalog with my TIFF images. He did not work on the TIFFs themselves, but created virtual copies and applied adjustments.

I want to merge his catalog with mine, so that I too have his virtual copies that I can continue to work on.

When I import his catalogue via "File > Import from another catalog…” (see attached image), I end up with all of theTIFF files and virtual copies from his catalog, inside sub-folders in my catalog. This means that I now have two sets of the original TIFF files in two different locations, one set with the virtual copies and one set without them.

I could simply replace my original folders with his merged folders, but then I would lose the collections that I’ve created using my original images.

What I want is for his virtual copies to end up next to my original TIFFs, in my original folders. (This has worked for me in the past with previous versions of LR.)

Am I doing something wrong? I would be most grateful for help sorting this out.
