I have all my photos stored on my G: drive (external) and a backup drive for my images on F: (external). I recently updated all of the images on my backup drive (F. I copy new folders from my G: drive to my F: drive, something I have done for quite a few years and now Lightroom will not recognize my G: drive as the home of my images, in fact, when I tried to import images to my G: drive, it would not recognize the G: drive, instead, it wanted to put the images on my F: drive (Backup) I unplugged the F: drive and Lightroom still shows it as an available drive, but it is blacked out. I cannot even create new folders for Import for the G: drive as Lightroom does not even recognize it. The crazy thing is that File Explorer still shows the G: drive and all the files on it.
So my main question is how do I restore Lightroom so that it recognizes the correct drive, G:, as my image collection drive?
Can I/Should I reinstall Lightroom? If so, how do I do that from the Creative Cloud app? Other possible solutions?
Is there something that needs to be done to, or with, the catalog?
As I really don't understand where this problem originates, or how it originated, any and all helpful suggestions are quite welcome.
