How do I turn on the keyword search in the Library module, matching feature? I used to be able to type a few letters and see matching possibilities. No more! How do I enable this feature? Thanks.

Before resetting the preferences file, try clicking Catalog Settings > Metadata > Clear All Suggestion Lists. If that doesn't help and resetting preferences doesn't help, post a screenshot of exactly what you're seeing, so we're all on the same page.

Clear all suggestions lists, sounds pretty serious. Like what lists would I be clearing?

All the fields in the Keywording and Metadata panel where you enter field values (e.g. title, caption, city, state, etc.). This doesn't affect the metadata attached to photos, just the suggestions provided when you start typing.

Also, in addition to clicking Clear All Suggestion Lists, delete the Helper.lrdata folder in the catalog folder -- it also stores information about keyword suggestions. When you Clear All Suggestion Lists and delete this folder, LR forgets all previous suggestions and starts building new lists as you enter new data into fields.
