Keyword locked with a period .

By accident, one of my keywords has a . after it and is stopping me from adding more keywords. I have experienced this before but forget how to fix it. Advise please

Can you give more details about exactly what is happening, step by step? I created a keyword "AAA." and assigned it to a photo, and I was able to add more keywords to the keyword list and add more keywords to that photo.

You may have toggled this option in the Keyword List-

Yes, how to toggle back. It is in a Keyword that has many images in it so I don't want to delete the keyword.

Right-click on the keyword and you'll see that option now has a checkmark in front of it. Click on the checkmark to turn it off. Note that you may have already added new keywords unintentionally inside that one, in which case you'll need to drag then out of there into wherever you were trying to create them.
