LR Classic 10.4
Operating System
  1. macOS 11 Big Sur
Problem:
I use Lightroom Classic by subscription. I prefer not to use the Cloud for a variety of reasons. Mainly, I often travel to places that are off the grid, and I like to have access to LR during these trips. So I download my photos to my MacBook Pro and can edit wherever I am. (I also don't trust the "Cloud." Another story . . .)
The MacBook Pro is a bit heavy to travel with, though.
What is the best solution? I would like something much lighter to take on trips, on which I can edit my photos, and then be able to transfer them to my MacBook Pro after returning home
Thanks!!
Joel Roffman.

If you don’t trust the cloud the only solution that I see is to keep using you “bit heavy” MBP, LrC and you master catalog.

If you can get over your fear of the Adobe cloud, you can leave you ‘bit heavy’ MBP at home and work on a svelte iPadPro and the Lightroom app which only communicates to the Adobe Clou.
