Face recognition - zoom out in 'grid' view

Greetings!
Apologies if this is covered elsewhere but it's one of those questions that is seemingly impossible to search for. I've hunted high and low to no avail...
When using People view the size of each face is enormous - only two faces fit on the screen, making the thing virtually unusable. In all the examples I've seen each face is about 30x40mm approx, and that is how it *used to* look for me.
Anyone know how to 'zoom out' in this view please?

There should be a thumbnail size slider, on the right-hand side of the toolbar, just as there is in "normal" Grid mode.

If you don't see the Toolbar, press 'T'. If you don't see the Thumbnails slider, click on the down-arrow to the right and put a checkmark against the "Thumbnail Size" option.

I think I had hidden the toolbar because I now have a touch screen. Worth noting that the 'pinch to zoom' touch gesture works for zooming in and out in normal grid view, but seemingly only for zooming in in People view - so once you're zoomed in, you're stuck without the toolbar.

The "-" shortcut doesn't seem to work on People view... bizarre but true. Hence my immense frustration yesterday!
