it seems to have dropped off LR5, one of these fat fingers must've done something! How do I get this back in the develop module?

Hi ok2day, I suspect you've hidden the Basic panel. In the Develop module, right-click on one of the other panel headers (e.g. Tone Curve) and check Basic in the pop-up.
