Using the Navigator and changing from one photo to another is very slow. The sliders work at their normal speed. Plenty of memory (4Tb) on my Mac. This seems to be a recent problem. Any thoughts as to why? Thanks!

What kind of previews did you create on import? It sounds like LR is needing to create new previews for the images you are looking at. You could select a number of images and create new previews for them and see if this helps speed things up.
