Light Room Keeps Opening Downloads

Why does LR keep opening downloads from the web. Have gone to Preferences and unchecked all Import Options. Yet when I try to download a router utility LR opens.

That must be some setting in Windows that you got wrong.

Agreed. You could checkout the Autoplay settings for "Software and Games", make sure it's not set to "Import from Lightroom". I can't think what other settings could be in play here.

If you have a specific .name, like for example .lls and it is only one app that reads those filenames, then you get that behaviour; or if you set (in a Mac) "always open with "program name"".
