    Graphics Card upgrade.

Hi All, after a bit of advice. With the latest changes to LR and PS, I have noticed that my PC's GPU no longer seems to be up to the job. I currently have an Nvidia Quadro p400 2 GB GPU and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to what to replace that with? I'm on a budget and don't game...

You can also can export images from within the Lightroom app to a defined directory on the Android device, and in my case I have defined that as the SD card...

Catalogs Upgrading PC Platform—Sanity Check Please – Part Two

Hi Ken, Sorry to say that this did not work. I downloaded LR and then choose a directory on the C: drive for the catalog location, then copied over my last 'saved' catalog from the D: drive. Then clicked on the catalog once it was on the c: drive, which opened LR as you mentioned. However...

Catalogs Upgrading PC Platform—Sanity Check Please – Part Two

Hi, It seems that time has passed by quickly since I wrote my previous post in January 2022 about rebuilding my PC and rejigging the discs. Well that is now all done; in the end I opted for a 1 TB SSD which is now happily running Windows 10 and all the various programs including a move from...

Upgrading PC Platform - Sanity Check Please

HI Phil, Many thanks for tips. Typically before I retired when I have been working with client data (nothing to do with Photography) I always had separate drives for their data and backups including a RAID setup, separating it all from the O/S drive and allowing me to use either of two desktop...

Establishing a consistent colour work flow.

No, this model does not offer printable images, but you do see a 'test' sheet which you can then view 'calibrated/calibrated' to show what calibration of the monitor has done.

Agree, but it does not seem too bright to me, going to try some different levels. Mike

Hi, Thank you for pointing me at the soft proffing, new about the tick box, but forgot about the setup window. Has helped but not totally. I don't seem to be able to find any tool to creat an ICC from scratch. Do you have a link? Mike

Establishing a consistent colour work flow.

Hi, Thought I was pretty okay with solving most problems, but I may be missing something fundamental here and need some help to figure it out. So; I have calibrated my Dell 24” monitor using a SpyderX Pro and saved the profile, I’ve edited the images using Lightroom and when printing out the...
