You are right. When I look in "All Photographs" I see them. I tried to put them into a new folder and Lightroom said all Photos selected are missing. Is there a way I can re-import them from my external hard drive.
I loaded up three days of photos into my external hard drive then imported them into
Lightroom on my Mac. I worked on some of them and then closed out Lightroom. When I reopened Lightroom a couple of days later they no longer appear in my Lightroom catalog after I start up Lightroom. They are...
I just purchased the shuttle Pro V2 and I'm having problems with the install. When I downloaded the driver it didn't work. I got a message to call Contour. I called them and the IT Guy gave me a link and told me to follow it and hung up. I followed the instructions, again nothing. Called him...
Jim you were right. I thought all along my camera was shooting in RAW. I never checked the image file to see the format. Somehow I changed the file format from RAW to .JPEG. What an idiot. Now I have a whole nbunch of photo's that I thought were Raw are know .JPEGS. I think this is a perfect...
I only use RAW files so I don’t think that is the problem. The only lens profile for Tamron is the 28-70 lens. When you pull the drop down menu this is the only lens profile that appears. Like I said it was working fine before.
When I started with Lightroom Classic I had lens profiles for my Tamron Lens. Now all of a sudden I have just one lens profile for a lens I don't even have. The rest do not appear. Obviously, I've done something. Could someone help me out.?
#1 ll my locations are in map now. I just wasn't patient enough.
#2 I created a new catalog because when I was moving my Information to the new computer and external drive I did something. When I opened LR In the new computer I couldn't find my catalog. In my impatience I said "screw it" and...
I just noticed something in Lightroom. There is a progress bar in the upper left hand corner that says, "loading Markers". Am I just being an over anxious Dolt not knowing the makers had to be updated on this version of LR?
Adobe Lightroom Classic subscription version. I might add I just purchased a new iMac 27" computer. I downloaded Lightroom no problem then took care of my external drive. I upgraded from an older iMac 27' using the subscription service from Adobe and no problem with the map module.
I moved my Lightroom Photo's to a bigger hard drive recently. I was in Lightroom today and went to the map module to see a location of a picture and all it showed was a map of New England where I live with no tags where photo's have been taken. I have GPS on my camera and until this catalog move...
My Image Archive is on an external drive. I have never had a problem with it. It's a new G-Drive USB Drive and is one year old. When I started it today, it started no problem but did not appear on my desktop. I re-started me computer and drive and it still did not appear. I've moved the USB to...

Because of my naivete on MacBook's, I didn't realize that the RAM was not up gradable on 2013 Macs and beyond. Is 8GB of Ram sufficient to run Lightroom if you use an external hard drive for your catalog?
Thank you for the info Cletus and Johan. I do all of my Lightroom work on my iMac 27". It's has 3.1 GHz and 32GB of RAM. I will be using the MBP for classroom and presentations with Lightroom. I would love to get what you ordered Johan but I think I can spend less money and get what I want. I...
I am looking at a Macbook Pro refurbished from Apple and was wondering what I need to run Lightroom effectively? The one they have right now has 128gb Flash Memory, 8gb RAM. I would definitely increase the RAM but is the 128gb memory enough. I would keep my catalog on a portable hard drive so I...
