No I did not try just letting it do that and hit ok...but I just did it and it seemed to work! Thank you so so much! I didn't think I'd ever be able to import again. LOL.
I used to import pictures into Lightroom from my card reader to my E drive.
My E drive that contained all My Pictures failed.
I received a back up drive from BackBlaze and imported all my pictures to my external F drive. When I try to import new pictures from my Canon SD Card, lightroom is...
So if I change the F drive back to E, will I be able to go to the top of My Pictures, right click and "Find Missing Folder"? I don't want to screw my LR up again.
I really don't want to change the F drive now that it's all running perfectly. Isn't there a setting in LR where I can change the letter of the card reader
Now I have another nagging problem. I'm trying to import photos from my card reader and since E isn't available anymore and my drive is now F with my photos it says it isn't available and want to put in "My Pictures". I don't want them there. I thought I could go to File-Auto Import and change...
Jim, I did it and it worked! I have all back and in the right place. Thanks so much! It's been 3 weeks and now I'm up and running. Will make sure to write all this down in case it happens again.
I have two drives...my good one is F and the one that backblaze send is right now E. I did restore correctly. I copied all the E files to my F so I can send the disk back to them eventually. So makes F my only external at this time except for C (where my programs are)
If I doubleclick on the file I get the 1st shot...you can the backblaze unlocker. The problem is my photos are now on the F drive, not E.
Now if I go into catalog settings and maybe change the location to F, will it work or not.
So I got my disk from Backblaze and it wasn't just a plug in and good to. It was encrypted and I had to download a program for it. It asked for a password which we didn't have, etc, etc. To make a long story short finally got the disk working. I'm in the process of saving all my pictures and the...
Well the drive does seem to be the problem. Can’t open some things. I’m scanning the whole thing to see what happens if that doesn’t work I have to have Backblaze send me a drive with all that was on that drive.
I’ve ordered a new cable because Seagate needs a special one and will get it tomorrow. We shall see. Will post when we get it out. I’d be happy if that was all it was.
We checked the cables...they seem to be fine. The port seems to be fine when we checked it. We tried the Seagate drive in another computer. It did a scan and said that there was no malware but couldn't check some files. Then the disk didn't show up. Disconnected and then showed up. That...
I'm thinking the problem is that both my catalogs and pictures for LR were all on the disk that crashed. I use Backblaze online and tried downloading a catalog from that E disk that crashed but it takes forever and not even sure that will work. I've tried everything. I tried an older catalog...
They were already on my failing disk...if I Alt and open Lightroom I'm picking one that is damaged. And it won't repair it. And the repair catalog isn't responding. Not sure what to do now.
