How do I update?
To update, go to Help menu > Updates or click the Update button in the CC app. The update servers take a while to push the updates around the world, to avoid overloading the servers. You can also open the Creative Cloud app, click Update on the left, then click the … icon (top right) and Check for Updates to give it a nudge.
Lightroom books
As there were no notable feature changes this time, the eBooks for Adobe Lightroom Classic – The Missing FAQ and Adobe Lightroom – Edit Like a Pro did not require updating this time. They were, of course, for the June release. They can be downloaded immediately after purchasing. If you already have a current Premium Membership for the relevant eBook, the latest eBooks are available for download in your Members Area.

I dont seem to be able to upgrade. It says that I have 12.5 but when i try to upgrade to 13 i says its not compatible. Very confusing. Thanks for any help.

Victoria Bampton says
What are your system specs, particularly your operating system version?
Paul Undersinger says
This update has been awful for me. Simple tasks such as cropping images became unusable, even a simple export file task became a mess where I had to re-create all settings. I am uninstalling and going back to 12.4 immediately.
Victoria Bampton says
That sounds very strange, almost like the update install was corrupted. Uninstall then reinstall may do the trick.
Will says
How do we add LUTS into Lightroom classic 12.5? Seems to be changed from previous versions on how this is done??
Victoria Bampton says
Nothing’s changed in that area. You can’t add LUT’s directly to Lightroom, they have to be made into a profile using Camera Raw.
Kelly Morton says
Vic you are the only one posting anything about this update! Thank you so much!
Hello From Canada! ITs been ages since we last talked! Hope you and the family are well!
Take Care
Jürgen Lobert says
It doesn’t look like they fixed the remove tool getting smaller on repeated clicks. I reported that, it’s a well known issue
Paul McFarlane says
Hopefully it’ll be addressed soon. Maybe post a link here to the Adobe Report so others can comment and upvote it.
mcschlotz says
Well the issue with not being able to set what the filename is coming back from the Enhanced Denoise function has still not been addressed. Right now the returned DNG comes back as: filename-Enhanced-NR.dng and there is not way to tell it to use a naming convention of your choice. Renaming after the fact is a real PITA especially when batch processing many files through the new Denoise function. Here is the link to the Adobe reported bug where on page 2 towards the bottom I put in my two cents requesting Adobe get with the program vs Hard Coding filenames, which is circa 1988!

Paul McFarlane says
The workaround suggested in his reply to your Forum Post sounds a good solution at this point:

Janet says
Thank you but some I don’t think this will help my issue and Adobe support did not help.
Under preferences I chose camera settings . It works for the canon camera but not for the OM-1 the OM system’s camera. Any thoughts ?
Paul McFarlane says
We suggest post on our Forums so we can get additional information from you and do our best to comment and help.
Judy Hancock Holland says
The OM and Olympus cameras have the corrections built in. There’s no need for LR to add corrections.
Victoria Bampton says
They do indeed, I shoot Olympus too. Adobe still has to apply the lens corrections embedded in the raw file metadata, and it can be turned off in recent cameras, but we don’t have to wait for separate lens profile updates, which is a big bonus.
