How do I update?
To update, go to Help menu > Updates or click the Update button in the CC app. The update servers take a while to push the updates around the world, to avoid overloading the servers. So, if you don’t see this immediately, it may be a day or two before you can download it. You can also open the Creative Cloud app, click Update on the left, then click the … icon (top right) and Check for Updates to give it a nudge.
Lightroom Classic book
The eBooks for Adobe Lightroom Classic – The Missing FAQ are already updated for these changes, and can be downloaded immediately after purchasing. If you already have a current Lightroom Classic Premium Membership, the updated eBooks are available for download in your Members Area.

So since the new 11.5 update my workflow has been killed by its sloppy sync issues. tried to reinstall to no effect. Using macbook air m1. The main problem is with presets and syncing. LR is now broken, and is constantly “forgetting” certain parts of the functions to sync, especially the Profile and basic adjustments. Likewise selecting the sync photo or previous setting also causes the same error where LR ignores the selected settings. I am at wits end trying to figure this out as its absolutely tedious having to manually adjust individual photos when I have sets of hundreds to do each day.
Any help or suggestions would be great.
Victoria Bampton says
By all accounts, 11.5 is proving very solid, so I’d try the standard troubleshooting steps https://www.lightroomqueen.com/standard-lightroom-troubleshooting-steps/

Hi! I have the most recent version of LR, 11.5 but still have problems with my watermark being cut off. From what I can tell in the above list, the latest update should have fixed this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Victoria Bampton says
Is that a graphic or text watermark?
Brenda J Nutter says
Paul – I recently updated to Monterey 12.5.1 and only about half of my folders are populated in the library. How do I fix this?
Paul McFarlane says
What do you mean by ‘populated’? Are the photos showing in Lightroom but marked as missing? Or you seem to have folders missing?
If the latter, then it would sound like you opened an old catalog. If the former, then check why Lightroom thinks they are missing (are they on a separate volume, for example?)
Probably easiest to open a thread on our Forums so we can ask more and get some screenshots.
Hary says
I have problem with exporting in LR 11.5. 350 images are rendering randomly, for example first picture is number 20 then 1, then 156… I downgraded back to 11.4.1 and there is it OK.
Victoria Bampton says
Does it make a difference if you set the Preferences > Performance > GPU options to not use the GPU for export?
Caio says
Yeah they now need to fix the SLOW export that was great in 11.4 and they ruined in 10.5
Victoria Bampton says
Sounds like it’s trying to use the GPU for export, but your GPU isn’t powerful enough or has a buggy driver. Try turning off Use GPU for Export in Preferences > Performance > Custom and see if that helps?
Juan Perez says
Shift + S is not working on Lightroom in 11.5 (spanish version)
As soon as i press the SHIFT key on my keyboard to use this function the cursor changes to a loupe with arrows on left and right. I can’t use this function with this command anymore.
Paul McFarlane says
Juan
We suggest log this as a problem with Adobe then, sounds like one issue was corrected and caused another.
alexj says
Can we tether the Z9 with this update, I can’t see any news on it Victoria?
Paul McFarlane says
Unfortunately, no, no new tethering with this release.
Lauren says
Thank you as always for your LR expertise! Do you happen to have any info on when or if they are ever going to fix the bug with keywords not discerning the difference between for example “sugar” (a food) and “Sugar” the name of my dog? For years this worked and then a few years ago it broke! Now when I type in “Sugar” it looks like it will place it in the keywords but then reverts to “sugar”. I’m not sure how to search for this in your forums so if you have a link to a good convo about this please share. Thank you.
Victoria Bampton says
I’m not sure I’ve seen a bug on that, so here’s instructions on how to report it to Adobe: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/send-bug-report-feature-request-adobe/
