How do I update?
To update, go to Help menu > Updates or click the Update button in the CC app. The update servers take a while to push the updates around the world, to avoid overloading the servers. You can also open the Creative Cloud app, click Update on the left, then click the … icon (top right) and Check for Updates to give it a nudge.

Sharon Russell says
I tried to import my Lightroom Classic from my old MacBook Pro to the New one with the M1 chip, and I get a message that it can’t open, What the heck? I do not want to have to reload every single photo into a new catalog. Is there a fix?
Victoria Bampton says
No definitely don’t reimport everything. Where’s the catalog stored? And how did it get there? I’m thinking some kind of permissions issue. Feel free to post on the forum (link in the menubar) for more detailed troubleshooting.
Luis says
Having the same issue here. Catolog Stored on my external drive and was using fine on my old LR version.
Victoria Bampton says
It’s impossibly to troubleshoot without more info Luis, but my first guess would be System Preferences > Privacy & Security doesn’t have all of the checkboxes checked for Lightroom.
Alan Williams says
Lightroom appears to have automatically updated itself and in the process changed many of the settings to their default values and removed a couple of plug-ins GRRRRRRRR !!!
Victoria Bampton says
That sounds like the preferences got reset… odd.
Gordon R. Brown says
Is it now safe to upgrade from Lightroom Classic 10.4 to 11.1?
Paul McFarlane says
Generally, 11 has been found to be a good, stable version, especially since some of the odd catalog update issues were corrected in 11.0.1.
We’ve been using for some months quite happily.
Petr Klapper says
Actually Sony A7 IV (ILCE-7M4) is now supported new camera.
