There’s a hot fix for the latest Lightroom update, available right now.
The list of what’s new is very short: “It stays open!”
The Mac crashes are (hopefully!) fixed and performance problems caused by the Add Photos screen are also thought to be fixed.
Before you ask, there are no additional changes to the Import dialog in this update. It’s more complicated than flicking a switch, and the immediate priority is to make a stable release available, but discussions continue.
To install it, go to Help menu > Updates. If you’re using the CC app, the update might not show up immediately, but quitting and restarting the app should be enough to trigger it. If it doesn’t show up, here are the patch links: Windows / Mac
We don’t yet know whether there are additional bugs yet to be found, so I’d still recommend caution on production machines.
Any word on fixing the crash on import problem? I could not import anything without a crash.
Which OS Don? Most of the reported crashes were on Mac, triggered by all sorts of different actions, and those are the ones that are hopefully fixed in this release. Mine hasn’t crashed so far with this build, whereas it was crashing constantly before.
Hi Queen, U said the new update with “local Dehaze”, I’m running LR6.2.1 and can’t find it.
Hi Paul. Dehaze and Local Dehaze are only available in the CC subscription version as they can’t add new features to perpetual licenses.
Good to see a fix for the crashes etc. That is a good thing. Do we have any visibility into what they are planning or thinking about doing to the import dialog? Some kind of official word would be nice. Then instead of being in limbo we could decide what to do.
Nothing official yet Ian. A lot of them were at Adobe Max and have only just returned to the offices. All I can say is I’d recommend waiting it out at the moment. They can’t miss the outcry so I would expect them to address the concerns, although that’s more likely to involve adding the missing functionality into the new dialog rather than bringing back the old one as it was.
I certainly hope they actually do hear the frustration and respect their customers enough to respond to their needs. It seems as though they’re trying to make LR nothing more than a glorified iPhoto. This latest action has made me begin to explore other options. The missing functionality is the part of this “upgrade” that I find the most distressing. If they don’t restore it I certainly will not install any new releases and eventually quit Lightroom all together rather than pay to be forced into a workflow I find unacceptable.
They can’t help but hear it Guy! I’d love to know which other options you end up considering.
I don’t know enough about whether they’d be suitable substitutes but this latest version of LR would have me explore options offered by DxO, ON1 and Topaz. If LR doesn’t get fixed, fast, then I’m going to get some trial versions of the others and start exploring.
Victoria,
I have been very pleased with the expertise and caring nature of your business. You, Laura Shue and many others have helped Adobe be successful with Lightroom with the professional and caring way you help people effectively use Adobe products. They have stabbed you and others in the back. If they don’t ENTIRELY bring things back to where they were and begin anew I’m afraid I’ve bought my last “Lightroom Queen” book and any other products ancillary to Lightroom. Adobe had better reexamine their core values (if they have any) and realize that people’s livelihoods are affected by their corporate actions. Their customers, and your customers, deserve better treatment than has been inflicted upon their loyal customers.
To set expectations, I’d guess it’ll take 2-3 months before we see changes, simply because these things take time. It’s complex software and whatever they do next, they’ll want to test it carefully!!
Thanks for your efforts, Victoria.
very disappointed. and too, I bought LR 6 – apparently just days after they announced dehaze for CC- ticks me off that they didn’t include that for Ver 6. updates which of course I didn’t know til much later.
And now all this…
And on FB you mentioned that you yourself wished they would bring back a few things… – but you didn’t say what things ? What?
Sorry to hear of your disappointment Michele. To be fair, they’ve been quite up front about the new features from the start. They’re not just being nasty or trying to force people to go to CC – there are accounting regulations that limit their actions as a publicly trading company. With a perpetual license, they can only add ‘new’ features in the same financial quarter as the original release, whereas with a subscription, where they’re being paid regularly, they can add new features as they go along. All of the code is there in the background, so if you want to try Dehaze, http://www.prolost.com have some free presets that will allow you access to it.
What do I wish they’d bring back? In my previous blog post, there’s a list of features that are missing from the new Import dialog. They’re ones only advanced users tend to use, but I think they’re important. Most notably, a Destination preview folder hierarchy so you know exactly where you’re putting your files, and the ability to move photos to a new location while importing (not just Add/Copy). I’d be surprised if those features don’t reappear in the next major update.
In this household there are two of us running mac, with 10.9.5 installed. We had imports that imported (in some cases) but then crashed while creating previews/DNG files. The other issue we’ve notice is that it isn’t applying our customer develop preset that we created that worked on the previous version of LR. It’s applying certain settings of the preset, but not all of the settings. We are also looking to do the update to 10.11.1 (first updated version of El Capitan), is this version supposed to work with El Capitan? Are you on a Mac or PC? If a Mac, which OS are you running? Thanks! (You now have another new subscriber, will certainly check here before I apply any future updates!!!)
Nice to meet you Holly. I’m running 10.11.1 beta at the moment. Which settings is it missing from your preset? I’ve seen one bug report saying it’s missing the Remove Chromatic Aberration checkbox. Are there other bits its missing?
It’s encouraging to know that you are running El Capitan and it’s working for you! (I really need to do a clean install of my system, due to other issues, and El Capitan 10.11.1 is the system I’m planning on doing it with!) I have a custom preset, it’s applying the lens correction, the tone curve, the Clarity, Vibrance and Saturation, and the WB that I want, but what it seems to be missing is then applying an auto tone to the image.
Yep, I can reproduce that. I’ll put in a bug report. There’s another bug that causes photos auto toned on import to turn black, so I think it’s related.
Great! The newest update seems to be much more stable, but now a new problem. Even though I have convert to dng on import, it didn’t convert my files. Also, how bloody annoying that you can’t see the file names in the import dialog box now! I do a headshot mini session where clients choose their headshot on the spot, so I only import the purchased image, now it’s extremely difficult to know which files to import! Ugh! I know there’s a link on your site (somewhere) to provide feedback to Adobe… 🙁
It didn’t convert to DNG on the 6.2 build, or the new 6.2.1 build? With your existing ones that haven’t converted, select them and go to Library menu > Convert Photos to DNG and it’ll run exactly the same task.
Have you discovered you can float over the thumbnails to see the filename in a tooltip? Not quite as convenient for your workflow, for sure, but if they’re sorted by filename in the pop-up at the bottom, it should be pretty quick.
When I imported yesterday it converted to DNG, so not sure what happened initially when it didn’t work. I see the tool tips, it just takes a bit for it to show, but at least it’s there! Thanks!
Can’t seem to get the update to show up, have quit/restarted, tried selecting update from within LR, but no luck. Of course yesterday, my first real import with this version of LR, was over 2K of photos, what a mess. Only 704 of them actually converted to DNG, and then I have native raw files that are duplicates (with a ‘-2’ amended to the end of the file name, I can see the original in the folder), a royal mess. Not sure if I should wait for this update to show up or just revert back to previous version. 🙁
I’ve added the direct links now. I’m better it was crashing part way through the DNG conversion, right? You can convert the rest by going to Library menu > Convert Photos to DNG. So far it seems much more stable (and I was getting more than my fair share of crashes!)
I’ve quitted out of Lightroom and Creative Cloud – logged back in but still can’t see the 2015.2.1 update! Anyone know how to force Creative Cloud to see the update?
Any help would be appreciated
Colin
For Colin.
Try restarting your mac
Thanks David, unfortunately it still doesn’t show that a update is available but Victoria has posted a direct link.
Thanks anyway
Colin
This update doesn’t improve much! LR still hangs on my Mac after 1 minute, for instance when I am searching the catalog with the text filter.
I gave too much credit to Adobe, I dont have a minute anymore. Now LR freezes immediately after starting it, cant do a thing anymore 🙁
By now, I wouldn’t be surprised, if it destroys my pictures!
I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2013)
Rene
Rats! So when you say it freezes, it doesn’t actually crash but just hangs there? I’m tracking one similar report. Are there any diagnostic logs showing up in Console? Are you on El Capitan or Yosemite? What can you see – the pictures, or a grey screen? FWIW, I’ve never heard of bugs like this destroying photos, but good backups are never a bad thing.
I use Yosemite 10.10.5. I can still see the pics and menus, but soon after starting, LR wont respond to anything I do, except ?Q to exit. Sometimes it takes a while, but eventually it quits. This seems to be the only feature still working reliable. Simple things just don’t work at all, like folding in and out the side panels, searching my catalog, not to mention, developing pictures.
Another thing: LR seems to eat GB after GB of my disk space. Going back to 6.1 now.
Victoria, thanks a lot for the job you’re doing here! This situation would be so much more frustrating without the information on your website!
Thanks Rene. I’ll pass it on to the engineers.
Oh one final question – resetting preferences didn’t help?
I did not try resetting preferences, but the software behaves so crazily erratic, that I dont think in would have helped. I removed it already and will be very careful with the upcoming updates.
Thanks Rene. I’ve passed your comments back to the engineers.
I’ve just added the direct download links to the blog post too, as the update mechanism can be a bit slow at times.
Thanks Victoria!
Unfortunately, the issue with all black thumbnails and images after import is still there in LR CC 2015.2.1. It is still necessary to use Victoria’s workaround (deactivating “Apply auto tone adjustments” in “Default Develop Settings”).
Yup, they were focused on getting a stability release out ASAP, but that bug will be on the agenda as soon as they can.
Hi all, LR 6.2.1 is running on both my Macbook Pro and iMac on El Capitan 10.11.1beta & release respectively with no issues.
I quite like the new import screen!
I think we should frame your comment Roger! It’s one of the only positive ones I’ve heard. That said, although I was horrified by the changes when I first saw them, it’s really grown on me. Some of the missing features need to return, but I’d have no objection to the new dialog itself staying.
which missing features – are you hoping will be back?
You can read the whole list here Michele: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/whats-new-in-lightroom-cc-2015-2-and-lightroom-6-2/
Hi…ok I have an iMac running 10.10.5…I have spent over 3 hours over the last 2 days with Adobe doing a screen share, trying everything but Lightroom Crashes.
I called Apple and they had me do a new OS install and still same issue
Oh dear Elliot! How’s the latest 6.2.1 update working for you? It fixes the known crashes but it’s possible there’s something else going on here.
I am running El Capitan and just installed the latest version of LRCC. Everything is working like a charm. It is way snappier, and faster. I use the GPU feature, and it really seems to work now; whereas, it was problematic before. I use a Wacom tablet; all of the sliders move smoother than before. I did prefer the prior Import interface, but the other performance features trump that.
Oh that’s good Jack. I’ve been nagging about the Wacom issues for months!
It still crashes after installing 6.2.1. To say this is very frustrating would be an understatement. Very disappointed that this was released and does not fix the problem. The only way Lightroom 6.2.1 works if I constantly reset preferences. I am going back to 6.1. This is really BS that the release was this buggy.
AN APOLOGY FROM ADOBE!
Lightroom 6.2 Release Update and Apology

Here is an update after speaking with a Senior Advisor at Apple (Apple Care)….note this is what seemed to work for me and I would check with your tech expert first.
They had me uninstall Lightroom…then had me remove the LR Folder in Applications, which was causing a conflict….then re-installed Lightroom…now it seems to work but missing some plug ins that were there before……but check with someone first that knows computers. Hope that helps
Oh that’s interesting Elliot. Was that the LR folder in the Applications folder, or in Application Support? The one in Applications would have been the app itself, so that shouldn’t have affected your plug-ins. The Application Support folder in your User Library would have included presets and that kind of thing.
It may have been in the user library…not sure
No worries Elliot. I’m willing to bet it was the user library one, and I’m really pleased you’re back up and running. Corrupted presets have been known to cause issues in the past, and that would have been the easy way to determine it.
Jed, I think you’re running into a different problem, so yes, incredibly frustrating. Did you let the Adobe Crash Reporter send them reports? That’ll help them figure out what’s going on with your crashes so they can fix that one too.
this does not give me confidence upgrading from 5.4 even after moving to OLympus OMD e5 mark 2. I might convert to DNG instead in the interim even if it’s a Mac issue.
You’re safe enough going to 6.1.1 Patrick – I’ve heard few reports of issues with that one. It’s this latest release that’s causing no end of headaches. Congratulations on the new camera though. I have an EM1 and EM10 and absolutely love them.
Does anybody have an issue exporting? I can’t export anything. When I click the export button…nothing. File menu and export…nope.
Lightroom 6.2.1 on El Capitan 9 ( iMac 27″ )
I’ve only seen a couple of reports. Can you try something for me, just as a test? Try going to File menu > New Catalog and just create a new catalog on the desktop, import a couple of photos and see if Export works in there?
After the 6.2 upgrade, thumbnails disappeared (although other info was there). I switched out with a backup catalog and that had the thumbnails but not my presets or templates. I thought that might be because it was accessing that from the backup folder so I moved the lrcat to where the previews etc were stored. Now I have no thumbnails but I do have the presets and templates back. I can work in Develop and the specific image I’m working on will show in Grid view but disappears after a bit.
Does this resemble anything that others are reporting? Is the next step to uninstall/reinstall LR?
Thanks
Marco
I should have said I’m on OS X 10.10.whatever…
Hi Marco. So all of the previews are grey apart from Develop, right? That sounds like a corrupted preview cache, rather than something specifically 6.2 related. Try this: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/lightroom-says-preview-cache-corrupted-fix/
I’ll try that when I get to the computer. Thanks for this!
The previews are coming thick and fast! Thanks so much. What a coincidence that this happened just as the 6.2.1 deal was going down. Nothing to do with that and an easy solution.
I’m grateful
Marco
You’re very welcome Marco. It’s great to find a problem we can solve so easily!
I recently moved to the monthly subscription and after this upgrade yesterday had problems where the folders were not opening within the catalog and none of the edit controls worked. Two hours ago I uninstalled and reinstalled LR and then reset the preferences as you suggested and switched of the Show Add photos. It now seems fine and to be honest probably a bit quicker. I tend to transfer photos using the Canon software then rename the folder and move that to the Lightroom area before importing it. So I don’t use the full LR options. However, I tend to agree with the others that is is not the best change Abobe has instigated. I’m using a Mac with El Capitan. Thanks for your advice not sure I’d know what to do on my own.
To be honest, I think most advanced users will end up turning off the Add Photos screen. I actually like the new Source panel better than the old one.
I am happy to say that I installed the latest version of LR 6.2.1 and it working quite well. I am on a PC, Windows 7.0 with 16 GB RAM. The Import process worked well for me as well and it is quite easy to get the same process as I used before to work on the new interface.
Robert
Well done Robert!
Thanks for helping all of us out!
I can report that, unfortunately, 6.2.1 still results in Lightroom hanging on exit and requiring a force quit (MacBookPro 2015, El Capitan). I hope another dot release is coming that would fix this problem. Until then, I’ve downgraded via your helpful instructions and things are working fine for now. Appreciate it.
Thanks Ted. I’m tracking a few reports of it hanging on exit, without a reproducible case so far. If you still had it installed, I’d suggest trashing preferences to see if that does the trick, but since you’re happy on 6.1.1 for now, we’ll leave others to be guinea pigs!
Installed Lightroom 2015.2.1 & it works fine in El Capitan on a Mac Pro. Still sorely missing “Move Images” on import function.
Glad to hear it’s working Jurgen. We’ll have to wait and see what Adobe do next, but I’d hope that Move will be back in the next release, in response to the customer outcry. I used it regularly too.
Ahhh… would have needed the DL Link yesterday. It took me a few hours to figure out how to actually trigger the update. I ended up deleting the updater Cache, but would have preferred to simply dl and start the setup files you linked here. Thanks.
You’re welcome. I’ll try to make sure I always post them with my what’s new posts.
I have gone back to LR 6.1.1 and now I can work (got all presets back after unchecking “store presets with catalog in preferences} and all is as it was.
My question is, is there any valid reason to update to 6.2.x?? Is it faster? Besides the local adjustment dehaze and the new import system.
The attention, time and care you take to help everyone with a problem is amazing! It deserves a lot of thanks
Right now, you’re just as well off staying with 6.1.1 if it’s working well for you. I think they have a few more glitches yet to work out. Local Dehaze, new import, updated Import from Photoshop Elements and a stack of new camera and lens profiles are the main things you’d be missing, as well as a few bug fixes. You can see the full list here: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/whats-new-in-lightroom-cc-2015-2-and-lightroom-6-2/
I had waited with the LR update until the latest bug-fix and then installed it. Big mistake! Part of my workflow is creating a new catalog on my notebook whenever I travel, work on my photos in the field and transfer them across to my main machine by exporting and importing a catalog (plus copying the source files of course).
This has worked fine for a long time, but when I tried importing the catalog exported from my notebook into LR (6.2.1) it gets stuck, using the CPU up to 90% and never recovers from that state.
There was only the way rolling back to 6.1.1 – and everything was fine again. Is this a known problem?
I haven’t seen it reported Alfred, so post it here: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family
Hi Victoria,
I have a Windows 10 Laptop. Yesterday I installed new updates. When I click on IMPORT, even if I Browse to a Folder with my RAW files, it doesn’t show any RAW files, screen is just blank. It will show JPEG files but not RAW. Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you.
Which camera Ken? So it works ok when you navigate to a folder of JPEGs? When you’re browsing, is that the OS dialog that’s not showing the raw files, or Lightroom’s thumbnail screen?
Victoria,
I have Canon 7d Mark II. I can see RAW files by browsing OS. But when I go through Lightroom by clicking IMPORT and navigating to the same folder, Lightroom sad no files found. It worked fine, before I upgraded to 2015.2.1. I uninstalled Lightroom 2015.2.1 and installed 2015.1.1 as work around (thank you for the tip) and everything works fine now. I don’t think it is video card, since last release works just fine. Very disappointing. I think we should start asking to get our money back.
I can’t reproduce it Ken. Can I get you to post it at the Official Feature Request/Bug Report Forum at http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family please?
I’m just a ‘casual’ photographer – but I have spent 40 years in software development. I really hatethe new import feature. In particular I almost always create a new folder for imports. This is now really ‘clunky’ compared with the previous version (along with all the other non-improvements).
I have always updated (perpetual licence) via the Update option on the help menu so don’t have any backups of the intermediate releases sine the original V6 install. Is there anyway I can revert to 6.1 please? Is the install package hiding somewhere?
Really easy John, just one post back: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-roll-back-to-lightroom-2015-1-1-or-lightroom-6-1-1/
Sorry Victoria – missed your rollback instructions at the top! Glad you psoted it as I couldn’t fine the download anywhere via Google or Adobe website!
Hey Victoria…first thank you for all your support to the photography community, much appreciated!
On the new update of 2015.2 where is the back up option in preferences…we used to be able to choose when to back up when we close out of Lightroom?
You’re welcome Elliot. The backup frequency hasn’t moved – it’s catalog specific, so you’ll find it in the Catalog Settings dialog rather than the global Preferences dialog. It’s also in the Back Up dialog when the backup actually runs too.
I upgraded to 6.2.1 just before the weekend, believing the bugs had been fixed. Wrong! LR 6.2.1 curiously worked fine for a day, then mysteriously ground to a halt and became like molasses while I was working on a deadline. I was forced to roll back to 6.1 to be able to deliver – seriously delayed. Just as a warning to anyone believing 6.2.1 is safe – it isn’t.
Good warning Morten. The leftover issues are affecting a much smaller percentage of users, but that’s no help if you’re the one affected. They are still looking into these leftover issues.
I have a Macbook Pro 2013 and LR CC 2015.2.1 import still crashing at worst and very slow at best. Hate how folder structure is missing in new interface. Liked being able to choose folder without having to go into computer’s finder window.
Click in the top left corner June, and then the Source panel comes back. If you go to Preferences, you can uncheck the Show Add Photos screen checkbox and it behaves a lot more like it did before. That won’t help the crashing though – they’re working on a cause and solution for that, so you might be better off rolling back to 2015.1.1 for the minute, using the instructions linked above.
I was just introduced to you and your website this morning on TWIP. So glad I tuned in. I had decided to move from Aperture to Lightroom and after spending several weeks watching tutorials from Creative Live and Adobe, thought this week was as good as any to try my first import into LR. BAD TIMING!! I couldn’t figure out why nothing in the import looked like or behaved like the tutorials. Now I know. Would you suggest I wait a bit until a future release is available or try again now that there is an update with bug fixes? If I do try again, is there any current tutorials to help me with my 1st experience with the ‘new’ LR? How can I ensure that the photos will remain in the file structure on my external drive where I want them?
Hi Lynn, great to meet you. Good news – yes, there’s plenty of information available here. If you sign up for my newsletter (form in the sidebar), I’m actually giving away the entire new Import chapter from my main LRCC/6 book which will bring you right up to speed with the changes. I’m also working on an update to my free Quick Start eBook, so that should be available this weekend with the new Import dialog instructions included.
Or alternatively, if you’re struggling with any stability problems with the current release, you could roll back to the previous version using these instructions: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-roll-back-to-lightroom-2015-1-1-or-lightroom-6-1-1/
After 2015.2 update killing my Windows 10 machine and crashing, I’ve installed the 2015.2.1 but’s it’s still crashing. Will probably have to go back to 2015.1
That’s a good plan for now Julian. You could just check your graphics card driver is the latest available from the manufacturer – AMD have recently released a beta that fixes some crash issues.
The Lightroom interface seems to be working on my Mac Pro. MY Photoshop takes 15 minute to load since the latest upgrade. I have reinstalled and updated all of my plugins many times and the software still struggles. This morning I tried to go to the Adobe Lightroom and look at tutorials and received this message. This connection is untrusted! lol!
Oh dear, that Photoshop loading would be worth reporting at the Official Feature Request/Bug Report Forum at http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family
Since I’ve not made the jump from v6.1.1 to v6.2, and based on what I’m reading with all the issues. I’ll wait it out until 6.3 or later. Any word in the grapevines on when Adobe plans to release a better, release that works.
Also they need to stop trying to either trick or by flooding ones PC with CC material, its getting annoying. I use the perpetual license version because I like it plain and simple.
They need to put on their update webpage a link for perpetual users and one for CC users and quit the trickery…
It only takes mistakes like this last one for a company to see it’s loyal customer vacate their app.
They haven’t announced a date yet. There’s a huge amount of work to do to bring back the old Import dialog and then it’s worth them taking the time to test it properly as we certainly don’t want a repeat of the last couple of weeks. I’d assume a month or two, so you’re best off staying on 6.1.1 for now.
The build is exactly the same whether it’s a CC or perpetual version. They usually ship with the CC app unless you specifically download from a perpetual purchase link, but the CC app just manages updates like the old Adobe Application Manager app did. It’s just a bit prettier! You can safely uninstall it if you don’t like it though.
Hi!
Somewhere on this wonderful website I found your recipe for murdering the new LR Import screen.
I’ve just spent two hours trying to find it & can’t.
Be a pal & tell me where, please.
Found it!
“June” October 15th.
Well done Mike! June? Where are you seeing June?
Hi Victoria,
Thank you for your notes. I am not on a Mac. I have the Windows new release on a new Dell and on installing 6 I was very happy for a couple of weeks. Then, just when we were out in the US Western national parks, with my camera fully loaded, I needed to download; however, 6 would not open up. I have the installed version, not CC.
Finally I downloaded another version of 6 and it worked fine that day. Next day, the same no connect happened again. When it is opening, Lightroom shows the opening picture but will not go to the library photos. Finally I went back to 5, but without the features I need.
Contacting Adobe is useless when one needs answers. Very upset with Adobe. It might make sense to spend $10 a month for the rest of my life if they will give me some credit for money spent so far? No chance on that one I guess.
Good to know they are apologizing but should I try with the new release or wait? Not sure what you mean when you state “production machines”.
By production machines, I mean ones you really need to be working reliably. I’d wait until 6.3 comes out, and just still with 6.1.1 for now. The not opening properly problem appears to have been tracked down to a problem connecting to the internet, which would no doubt fit with your national parks trip too?
Like everybody else, I am getting extremely frustrated by Adobe with the latest update to LR 2015.2.1. Luckily I still have LR 5 installed and hoping that will work.
When you say: “problem appears to have been tracked down to a problem connecting to the internet”, I am hoping that Adobe does remember that it has customers across the World and not just in Western countries with super high speed internet connections. It seems to be forgetting that LR is used by a lot of working photographers who move around. Getting close to moving over to Capture One.
Just a bug Michael, so it should be fixed in the next update. It just happens to be triggered by slow and unreliable internet connections, which isn’t an obvious place to look for performance problems!
Hi Victoria:
This thread was very informative. My question is should I go ahead and get started with CC version as I planned this weekend. Here is what might be important to know about my situation. I downloaded your e-book 1st chapter last weekend and took a look…daunting but doable for my skill level…I think. Just upgraded to Windows 10 but my laptop only has 4GM RAM, SSD is 128. It looked like many of the problems were from Mac users with a sprinkle of Windows users. Suggestions?
TIA!
Kim
Yes, most of the problems were Mac users. The leftover problems are mainly affecting those with slow or unreliable internet connections. That said, since they’ve announced they’re going back to the old import dialog, you might be best just to roll back to 6.1.1 for now and learn using that https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-roll-back-to-lightroom-2015-1-1-or-lightroom-6-1-1/
I have purchased a new HP laptop and Lightroom 6. Each time I try to open LR I get the following error message: “Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped working correctly. Windows Will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try rolling back a version https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-roll-back-to-lightroom-2015-1-1-or-lightroom-6-1-1/
