To update your Newsletter preferences, click the Update Preferences link at the bottom of any Lightroom Queen Newsletter. That link will take you to one of two places:
Update in your Member Account
If you’re a Member and your newsletter is sent to your Member Account email address, log in to your account and select My Profile (the Update Preferences link in the Newsletter will direct you here).
To update your email address, enter the new address into the Email field and press Update. The email address will be updated for both your account and the newsletter. Consider the newsletter sync a beta test at the moment… please let me know if it doesn’t update as expected.
To change your frequency preferences (from Newsletter only to Newsletter & Blog Posts, or vice versa), scroll down a little. If you’ve just updated your email address above, you’ll need to reload/refresh the page before updating the frequency.
There’s a ‘quirk’ in the Newsletter sync plug-in. If you unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of a newsletter email, and later update your profile (name/email/password) on the My Profile page, it automatically resubscribes you.
If you don’t want to receive the newsletter, either click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of a newsletter email again after updating your profile, or set the email frequency to Please don’t email. (But if you don’t get the newsletter, you’ll miss the book upgrade discount notification too.)
Update at Mailchimp
If you’re not a Member, or your newsletter is sent to an alternative address, the Update Preferences link at the bottom of the newsletter will take you to a form hosted by Mailchimp, where you can update your preferences.
Linking with your account
If you ARE a Member, but your newsletter goes to a different address, you won’t receive product-specific emails such as upgrade discount codes, as I won’t know what you’ve previously purchased. To merge your account and newsletter subscriptions, email me a note of both email addresses and which one you prefer to use, and I’ll merge them.
