Worth Changing to Beta now or waiting?

Hello I am working on a Macbook Pro but most of my work is still on my Windows system XP - I have Lightroom 2.5 and wonder if its worth downloading the Beta 3 yet or waiting for it to be fixed and released? I know this sounds thick but does the Beta override the software already installed or is it a separate package to try? Many thanks

Hi Chrissy, welcome to the forum!

No, wait. It's only an early beta build so it's very buggy. If you want to play with it, it'll install alongside your 2.x installation, but don't use it for serious work yet.
