Hi,

I work more and more in collections. I create them for each portfolio or project so I can see the series of images I am thinking I want in that portfolio, etc. I can create virtual copies in a collection, or .tifs to be exported to PS, and try new changes and looks that might work for this series. However, once I decide that a VC or .tif doesn't work, I can't get rid of it (delete from LR and off my disk) within the collection. I can remove it form the collection, but that still leaves it on my disk and in a folder somewhere in LR. This creates clutter, and extra work navigating back to the parent folder to delete images/remove VCs. It would be more efficient if I could delete/remove such created VCs and exports from within the collection.

Welcome to Lightroom Forums.

You can, but you need a convoluted keyboard shortcut affectionately called "splat-delete": Command-Option-Shift-Delete on Mac, or Control-Alt-Shift-Delete on Windows.
