Work in Progress - How Do I match site's css to Web Galleries?

Hi all, here is some WIP: http://www.animalnepal.org/photos.htm where I am building LR web galleries for pretty much the first time. I am wondering how to change the imbedded caption color and even position, to put it closer to the edge, or perhaps even inside / over the frame itself.

I am also wondering if instead of launching a new page, if I could somehow imbed the gallerys in place on the mentioned page, making the images smaller to fit the column and whatnot, but it's a pure .css site, so no idea on how to make that happen. Ideas? Thanks so much!!!

Using the AutoViewer gallery, your customization options are few. You might look into some of the galleries I've developed if you want further customization options. As for not having the galleries load in a new page, you might try something like Mediabox or Greybox.

Hi thanks for that, I do have all ur templates loaded, but alas the TTG autoviewer has more options then the stock one, but no way that I can see to change the caption color. No way to do in the xml or metadata? but thanks again for your response...I'll look at the others u mentioned for not having to load a new page.

AutoViewer is developed by Airtight Interactive; I just made the LR integration. AutoViewer doesn't support caption colors, unfortunately. Some of the other galleries do, though. I'm a big fan of MonoSlideshow, personally, and it's totally customizable. If you like the AutoViewer presentation, though, you might try the LRG FlashSlideStrip gallery from LightroomGalleries.com. It has a similar method of presentation, but allows for a greater amount of customization.

Thanks again, from all the animals in Nepal and more. I really like the monoslideshow but it looks like you have to size all the images to fit your frame/viewport? vs. in autoviewer it does that for ya??? Please see two tests, one with autoviewer:

Same set of images with differing results. Most other options are too "heavy" here, as in Nepal downloads of large flash objects just does not work. Well, thanks again...

MonoSlideshow is 72KB; AutoViewer is 36KB. Still, I wouldn't consider a viewer less than 1''KB to be a huge Flash component.

As for image sizing in MonoSlideshow, you need to set the scaling. Under the Output Settings panel, find Scaling Mode and set it to "Downscale to Fit", or whichever mode you fancy.

If you're concerned about the size of Flash components, though, you might want to forgo Flash altogether and try the Slimbox gallery.

Thanks again, that solved that. and monoslideshow is at the high end of what works here on 64k shared "broadband" cybershop lines. anything over that seems to take forever to load. cheers!
