Hi,
Now that Winzip can compress jpgs, I was wondering if anyone is doing that and if so ...what effect it has on your libraries and folders. For example if I select an image folder that is already in the library ...like 2''9'91' and zip it, will LR be able to read and access it? What happens with the 'import' function if wanting to import to that zip folder?

I wouldn't recommend it. LR won't be able to read it - it'll no longer be a jpeg, it'll be a zip file.

With compression algorithms becoming more sophisticated I suspect Adobe and others will need to incorporate something to recognize and work with those files, at some point.
