Not all the time but quite often when I print several A2 on my Epson P900, data transmission from LRC to the printer hangs at the very beginning, and if I close LR, delete the spooler files and restart the spooler, the following attempt is usually ok.
Print conditions : Windows 11 , 32 GB ram , LRC 14.4 , latest Epson driver version 6.83 , P900 firmware version KI04P4.
Printing on A2 paper, 300 ppi print resolution , 1440 dpi output resolution
Please see the attached Windows event log.

This never happens when printing A4 so I have the feeling it's related to the amount of data LR sends to the printer, but really A2 + 300 ppi + 1440 dpi should imo be ok.
Any ideas ?

Trouble shooting printer issues can be a world of its own.

Not definitive.. maybe someone has better suggestions..

I would..
1. Make sure I have plenty of space on my system drive. I assume spooler files are on the system drive
2. I would ensure the trash can on all drives is empty.
3. Check if using a usb cable that it is highest speed possible.
4. If using a wireless connection check using a good usb cable and port or a network connection.

I use my P800 only with an Ethernet connection… but I had recent router issues and it was a pain to reconnect my P800.

When I am printing a3 or larger, I have a routine I use which involves a round trip to Photoshop, where I apply any final edits, then resize to the exact printed paper size, (calculated at 360 or 720 ppi, which ever I am going to print with), then apply sharpening, saving a single layer 16 bit tiff version with AdobeRGB profile.

I can print this myself or this is the agreed spec with a fine art printing service I use.

This means that I send the exact pixels and sharping I want applied to the printer and the printer driver does not have to do this.

The resultant tiff file can be very large…. so if your workflow involves printing multiple A2 prints I can understand the potential for spooler files jamming up.

Thanks Gnits for the suggestions.
1; Yes I have plenty of space on the C: drive
2. will do next time, but why ?
3. ok, good idea I will change my USB cable
4. N/A

I print raw or jpg files from LR, but almost never tiff, and my files are resized to the exact ratio of the paper. I could use 360 ppi which in theory is better than 300 but it could make my problem worse.
Another strange thing, it happens mainly when I print several A2, but I submit a print only when the previous is finished, so I don't think the spooler could be overflowed.
The Epson support advised to delete & reinstall the print driver, but it didn't solve the issue.

2. will do next time, but why ?

They can clog up the system until they are fully cleared. With image management systems such as Lightroom there may be large numbers of files and large amount of storage in this state of limbo..

So healthy to clear the rubbish bin on a semi regular basis.

Adding to @Gnits suggestion, change the cable that you are using to the printer to see if it is the problem.
