Asking for a friend. Has a laptop with Windows 7 will Lightroom CC be compatible? Can Lightroom CC be downloaded to a Windows 7 OS and will it work?

Hi

To clarify, there is no product called Lightroom CC. Assuming you mean Lightroom Classic (given the forum you posted on) then yes, but with limited support (assuming SP1). For example, the newer features like GPU acceleration won't run on Windows 7.

Thanks Paul. Yes I meant Lightroom Classic. I also assume that at some LR upgrade the OS will have a hard time dealing with the software.

While Windows 7 is still a supported OS, there is every good reason to upgrade to Windows 10 to ensure future compatibility with Lightroom Classic. If the hardware can’t be upgraded, then replacing obsolete hardware should be a priority.
