Why can't I save in jpg?

After I develop in LR and go to CS 3 to do further editing, it will not let me save in jpg. Why? Is there a way to save in jpg?

Brenda, you are most likely editing in CS3 16 bit files, either send 8 bit to PS or in PS change to 8 bit. JPEG is an 8 bit only format.

If you have LR2, it's a bug. So, there is a release LR 2.1 that should solve the problem.
