Where to find Lightroom 2.3. Export Actions Folder

I have a Mac OSX 1'.5.6


I have downloaded some droplets for Lightroom.

I read that they need to be installed in the Lightroom Export Action Folder. On a Mac this is supposed to be found in user/library/Application/support/Adobe /Lightroom folder.

I have done a search on my mac and the only folder that seems to be

anywhere related to the above is in the HD library/Application

support/Adobe/Lightroom ...... this leads to another column with

Lightroom 1 registration and Lightroom 2 registration and a folder called
" Modules"

This Module folder has nothing in it.

There is no "Export Actions folder" at all.

I would be grateful for some assistance in directing me to the "Export Actions Folder" .

Hi Sue! When you get a minute please fill our your signature.

The difference between /Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom and /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom is that whatever is in the first applies only to that user while the second applies to all users on the Mac.

If you do not have an Export Actions folder then just create one. Make sure it is named Export Actions and not export actions or Export action or etc etc. Watch the spelling and capitalization. LR will see it when it's there.

You should see some folders in there by virtue of having installed LR. If your Lightroom folder in both locations is empty you may want to consider reinstalling.

If you need a quick way of getting there, open the Export dialog and go to the bottom of the dialog - in the 'After Export' dropdown there's a 'Go to Export Actions Folder' which will take you straight there.

Thanks for your response

In Lightroom under file there are 4 choices

Export
Export with Previous
Export with Preset
Export as Catalog..

I guess it would be Export.. - However it does not show what you have described in your response nor in other above Export possibilities.

Obviously I am missing something ....Hopefuly not my brain.
Be grateful if you could describe in more detail where I should be finding what could be so obvious.

Normal export dialog (so yes, File > Export) and scroll all the way to bottom to the dialog. Here:

follow up on question on export folder

Hi Victoria

thank you for the the image on find where the export actions folder can be found.

I have been away from my computer for some days. I have today gone into the export dialog box. I see the export folder in the one column.

Clicking on this export actions folder does not open the folder. My thoughts would be to be able to click on the export folder to open in the next column in order for the any droplets created can be saved.
Hope this makes sense. I have attached a screen shot.

I apologise for extra questions.

Sue, LR will just open a window in finder where the Export Actions folder is - as you have seen. You just need to open the folder yourself. Or are you saying you have no export actions in the folder??

At this stage there are no export actions in the folder. Will this change once I create a droplet ( still to do)
