When returning to grid from viewing enlarged images, returns differnt location

Happening more frequently lately so that it's becoming annoying... When in Libraray mode, starting from the grid, if I view an image individually & magnify it, when I return to the grid, my location in the grid is several screens away. It seems to happen more if I move around the image when maginified.

Any suggestions? I assume something simple & subtle I hope.

Check your tool bar at the bottom of the Grid. What is the Sort: set to? Likely it is "Edit Time" or "Edit Count"

Reset this to "Capture Time" "Added Order" or "File Name" as those do not rearrange dynamically like the Edit items do.

Thanks for the reply, but apparently I did not clearly explain my problem, or I did not understand your answer in relationship to my question.

The photos are already imported & sorted by file name (since importing from 2 cameras). Thereafter I set sort to user order (to better group images taken over several days.)

The issue is if reviewing in grid, double clicking a shot to enter loupe view, clicking on image to magnify, clicking again to return to loupe view, & then clicking on grid icon to return to the grid.

What happens occasionally is if I originally selected #14', I return back to #1'', or whatever the file numbers are.

I can live with it, but am finding it annoying.

What happens if you use the keyboard shortcuts G and E instead of clicking?
