Import When importing photos, I click on expand of a destination folder, the display sits there clocking.

Are you reffering to the "Source" panel or the "Destination" panel in the Import dialog?
And, by "Expand" are you referring to the "spinner" triangle used to hide/show subfolders?
Is the drive you are trying to access an external drive (you said it's an SSD) and if so try connecting it with a different cable (new if possible).
Outside of LrC, using Windows File Manager can you navigate to the subfolders of the parent in quesiton?
