I was hoping someone might help me. I recently moved from PC to Mac and installed LR.

Somehow a certain pull down menu has vanished and i have no idea how I did it, and how to get it back.

I'm not ever sure what its called but i do use it all the time. It's usually visible in both the Library and Develop Modules, on the right, horizontally between my film strip and the right column. The option this is visible right now is "Custom Filter" Usually if i click on the little up/down arrows i'll be offered a selection of filters like Flagged, not flagged, rejected etc.

The only other option i have is "Custom Filter" and "Save Current settings as preset"

Please help!

Well, on Windows, I'd say the contents of C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Filter Presets had gone walkabout.

I expect the similar location on Mac is - [systemdrive] / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / Lightroom /

I'm not sure why they'd be missing other than a snafu'd install. Perhaps you can copy the missing filter presets from Win to Mac.

In Library Module, hit the G key to go to grid then hit the "\" Key. The Library Filter should appear. Then Use the Pull-down on the menu that appears at the top right to select an item "Filters Off" for example. It should now appear on your film strip. You can also hit Attributes while you are there and click on any you want on that filter as well. (Pick, Stars, Colors, VCs, etc). For some reason Mac requires you enable these by doing this after a fresh install.

Thanks for the input Rick, it helps, but it's not exactly what i'm looking for, I should have attached a screen shot in the first place. Here it is, see attached.

I'm getting only two of the options I usually see!

I think you need to re-read Brads first response.
Both methods bring up the same filter presets. In my windows machine they are located in a folder "C:Users[user]AppDataRoamingAdobeLightroomFilter Presets". The equivalent to that folder on th Mac is empty. You need to find that folder on both the Windows install and the Mac equivalent. copy the presets (named with the extension ".lrtemplate" ) from the windows machine to the Mac.

Sorry. I misunderstood what you were after.
You may also try going to Lightroom>Preferences and select the Presets Tab. At the bottom is a button that says "Restore Library Filter Presets"

No problem at all, i appreciate all the input!

Before i "Restore Library Filter Presets" I want to make sure that doesn't mean I'm unflagging or uncolor coding all my images, that's not what that button means is it?
