Hello,

When I import a shoot, I normally don't apply any of my presets. One annoying aspect in LR is my default WB setting is 'custom' and usually isn't what I shot. I always shoot a custom white balance in camera. I prefer to have my raw files come into LR with WB as 'as shot'. I can't seem to find a default to change this.

Does this make sense?

It sounds like you've accidentally changed the defaults.

I don't have LR to hand right now, but I'm pretty sure that if you go into Develop module, there's Set Default... or something along those lines - in the Edit menu I think. In the resulting dialog, there's a reset to Adobe defaults button which should put you back to normal. I'll check properly once my other machine has finished loading Leopard!

Yes it is in:
Lightroom/Preferences/Presets
There the top section is about resetting develop presets etc.
This ought to solve the problem.
I have a develop preset with"as shot" for wb and custom settings for other areas such as camera calibration that I apply on import. This works well.

It is a pleasure to help, thanks.
