Adobe is going to get tired of hearing me say this, but the watermarking capability of LR is substantially LESS than that of Photoshop's Web Gallery, which has been out for many years.
When I post images to the web, I prefer to have people pay me for their use. That requires some sort of watermark. Right now, in LR, that watermark is at the bottom, easily cropped out.
What LR needs, so that I don't have to use Web Gallery (or a 3rd party) is at least as much flexibility in placing a watermark—font, color, position, size, angle, transparency.
