Today I found out that when I export photos to Facebook, it creates a nice watermark/signature on the photos. It does not do this when I upload to Zenfolio or Flickr. Or is it possible to do the same? I really love it.

watermark/signature on photos to Facebook

Ooooh, that sounds useful. Can we have a look to see what you mean? It's probably possible to get LR/Mogrify to do that for you. Do you happen to know whether it's LR or Facebook that's adding the watermark?

Oh that's a good question ;-) Although I think it must be Lightroom, because I never set up photos in Facebook with LR. Before I dragged and dropped them, now I use LR it shows a watermark/signature.

[/quote]That LR's standard Export "Use Copyright for Watermark". It means you have the info filled out in Metadata and have that option check on Export!

Watermark or not if you read the fine print of FaceBooks terms it OWNS the rights to ALL content that has been posted to FaceBook. This is why I never post serious work to FaceBook... and many users have no idea of the rights they have signed away.

Facebook's terms are much more reasonable than they used to be. That said, I too avoid uploading there mostly because they still strip all metadata, including the color profile and embedded copyright notice. Instead I upload to Flickr and import my Flickr photostream into my Facebook wall.
But we're off-topic. Cameragirl, I think Don hit it right on the head -- just check the "Add Copyright Watermark" button in the export dialog, no matter which service you're uploading to. Remember that you need to fill out the IPTC Copyright field in the metadata as well.
If you're using Jeffrey Friedl's export plugins for Facebook, Zenfolio, and Flickr, this all works the same in all three.

I am not using Facebook for my photography business, it is just for friends/family. But if it is true that they OWN the rights, then I won't post my work anymore.

Owning is a probably overdoing it a bit. They don't claim to own the photo, but they do state that by posting your are giving them a bunch of rights to it. You can check out more in clause 2 here:

I agree with Mark's comments. While not great (I wouldn't upload commercial work there), it is better than it once was. At least now they give up their rights when you close an account/remove the content
