Hi all, I just joined this forum and I am not clear on which task to perform first or which OS I need to install. I am running High Sierra 10.13.6 and have been using LR 5.7.1 for years but am finally moving to LR Classic. I have backed up my Mac but not sure which OS to install or if I need to install LR first. Could someone please advise me on this? I really appreciate it. I have a Mac Book Pro 11 (2015 I think) and have 16gb of memory and about 50gb of hard drive space but can make more if needed. Thank you! Kristal

The latest release of LrC is v11.x. The latest release of MacOS is BigSur. LrC v11 won’t run on some earlier MocOS versions (maybe yours (I forget)) so upgrade to Big Sur and then install the Adobe Creative Cloud App manager. Use the App manager to install LrC v11.

You can stil find the upgrade for HighSierra on the Apple sites.
Then you can find a copy of AdobeLightroomClassic10.4.

To install the latest LrC v 11 your Mac must be on Catalina, Big Sur or Monterey

See if your Mac can be updated to Catalina as Big Sur or Monterey can be too demanding for your old Mac.

You need to find your exact model by going to the Apple menu and then About my Mac
Thank you, all, yes my Mac book is compatible with both Catalina and Big Sur, so I will proceed with the Big Sur install. I'm sure I'll be back on here soon but hoping things go smoothly.
