Hello all. My first post.
I use LR 1.41 and PS CS3 on WinXP. A very powerful combination, and I like it a lot. However (there's always a "however"
), when I edit a file in PS, it comes back into LR with the "-edit" appended to the name (which is great, and very helpful), but shows in the same folder. Which, for me, isn't great.
See, I like all my RAWs (NEFs, in my case) to be in one folder, and I would like my edited version of the NEFs to be in a separate sub-folder "Edited Images". The reason is that I like to use a PS action which will convert a folder of images into captioned JPGs. I then upload these captioned JPGs to my website. (it's an action by Russell Brown).
Right now, I am telling LR to export the edited files (both the files I edited in PS, and any NEFs that look OK by just developing in LR) into a newly created sub-folder, and working that way.
So, my question - can I tell LR to put files returned by PS into a different folder than the NEF it came from? If not, what would be the best way for me to accomplish what I want? i.e., all the edited files (ideally, the PSDs, as well as just the NEFs I have developed in LR, that I haven't needed to edit in PS) in one folder? Exporting?
Thanks for any help
