I've been fiddling around in the Book module, and a few times when changing the font size I've forgotten to hit 'return' and have started typing. In this situation Lr thinks one is using shortcut keys, so all sorts of odd things happen (for example the screen going faint, or various sections of the workplace disappearing, or moving to a different module). Amongst some of these adventures I have lost the 'visualize spots' slider (the spot removal tool is still there and functioning, I simply don't have the 'visualize spots' tool).

Has any one encountered this issue or have a solution to hand? I've looked in the Missing FAQ book and can't find any reference to a shortcut key or a toggle for this facility.

PS: the shortcut "A" brings the 'visualize spots' into play, but the slider is still not there, so I can't adjust the sensitivity.

In 11.5, it should still be in the toolbar, so press T

If you're on 13.3 or later, it's moved to the main panel.

Cool! Thank you - things are so easy once you know how! A pity the 'undo' function doesn't work on shortcut keys - I get totally flummoxed when odd things disappear when I've inadvertently fallen into shortcut mode when I'm trying to type!

You’re not the only one, don’t worry! I think that’s why they seem to be slowly moving things out of the toolbar.
