Hey all.... my first "bug" or "problem".
I just bought and setup a new Dell XPS72' with Vista Ultimate preinstalled. There are two user profiles on this PC - my wife and myself. Both of us are granted administrative privs. I installed Lightroom 1.3.1 under my user profile and started my catalog and all works perfectly. No problems.
I logged on under my wife's profile and started Lightroom. It started perfectly but there were no pictures in the catalog. OK - this is my design I guess so she can have her own catalog. But we only want to have one catalog for both of us. Keep in mind - we are not talking about multi-user at the same time - - - -we are talking about one user accessing the same catalog only one at a time. So this should be ok.
So, I opened the catalog settings, surfed to my catalog stored under my user folder, selected it, and Lightroom said it needed to re-start to load the catalog. Peachy. All good. But.....
Lightroom under my wife's profile crashed upon restarting. The error is a dialog box with the words "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" and in the dialog box it says "Runtime Error! This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information."
Here is the kicker. Under my user profile, it still works fine. I uninstalled LR and reinstalled LR and still get the same error under her profile. I deleted the empty catalog under her profile and still get the same error.
Any thoughts?
