Virtual Copies

I am a new LR user - when I make virtual copies - the copy is added to the end of my filmstrip rather than next to the original.

Is a setting wrong or what?

What do I need to do to have the virtual copies added beside the original?

Welcome to Lightroom Forums.

Your sort order is probably set to "Added Order". Check the sort order in the toolbar.

So - what do I want the sort order to be? Capture time?

That's up to you. Capture time will get the result you asked about (VC beside the original) because the have the same capture time.

You could sort by filename as well, just have a play with the sort fields to find what works for you - they are changeable after all !!:lol:
