Vignette tool linked to Crop Tool + Burn & Dodge

Hi , this is my first post. Been Using LR since the first Beta...

Wouldn't it be great if one can Link Vignetting to the crop tool. At the moment it works great for removing vignetting, but when one would like to add it it in a picture with an offcentre crop - its not that effective. If it was linked to the crop rectangle - this would be remedied.

A burn and dodge tool - that actually uses the extra amount of image date within the raw file would make lightroom just like a great B&W darkroom. At the moment one has to export vrious exposures and layer them etc. But real burning an dodging - THAT would be a treat. Would probable need an dual quad core system for all that porcessing ;)

Dave, lots of people agree. There've been numerous requests and lots of forum traffic on those topics. Based on the 'squeaky wheel' theory, I expect the engineers definitely have those on the agenda. When? Who knows?

Aperture Burn & Dodge

I see Aperture has come up with a burn and Dodge Plug-in and Nik software is to follow with more serious ones. Hope this would speed up the process, for new ones in Lightroom

You never know what we might see in LR next Dawie, but I think you can safely rest assured that the Lightroom team won't be outdone by Aperture!

Several improvements in this area, including vignetting of cropped photos, and Local Corrections, including burning and dodging are included in the LR 2.' public beta, available here:
