I couldn't find this on a search, probably because all of the relevant terms are very common.
I have folders sorted by year, but when i click a year folder, it displays EVERYTHING from that year, instead of just one thumbnail per folder. I'd really love to have LR only show me one thumbnail from each folder when I have the year folder active. I find it very tedious to mouse over each folder in my list, waiting for the thumb to cache under my cursor, as i search for the folder I want.
Anyone know if what I want to do is possible?
Thanks!

mask, welcome. Don't believe so. I have seen it requested before, as always in this situation, we recommend that you submit a feature request directly with Adobe (link's on the NavBar at the top of the thread). If enough people ask ......

A feature request (and a bit of patience) would indeed be the way to do this.

In the meantime, if you mouse over the folders in the Folders panel you'll see the first image in the Navigator in the upper left.

ach, yeah. that's what I've been doing.
I also tried to stack everything in each folder, but the stacking was preserved when viewing inside the folder; hardly optimal.
ah well.
