We did our first presentation using LR 5.2 today. The talk includes two short video clips, with sound. When it got to the first of these it played immediately (oh joy! no more scrabbling into Quicktime!), but the sound was at first loud, then went too quiet to hear requiring me to turn up the amp, then suddenly went loud again. Is this a bug?

So this was all in the same video? What happens if you play the video in Library or in other software?

Sorry, I should have answered this before.

The problem was with the Playback>Audio>Audio Balance slider in the Slideshow module. Although I didn't have any background music, with the slider set at anything other than fully towards the 'Video' end, this problem occurred.

To be honest, the 'Audio' checkbox may have been checked, although no audio track was selected, I can't remember. But anyone who experiences problems with the audio level of videos should make sure this slider is over to the end.

It may also be that this was sorted out in v 5.3.
