Lightroom seems to have difficulty importing mp4 videos. I get some crazy dynamic link library message. Files are in the actual data base. Just not recognized by LR.
Also sometimes.on the rare occasion they do import, the library module displays a blank picture which can (again sometimes) be cleared by a shutdown and restart of Lightroom.
Any idea what's going on.
It seems highly desirable to use LR for both photos and videos. But maybe a workaround or add-on?

Hi joedo98. Videos are definitely not Lightroom's strongest point. Some people find that clearing Lightroom's video cache does the trick. Quit LR, go to Finder > Go menu > hold down Opt > Library > Caches > Adobe > Lightroom > Video and empty it and see if that helps.
