Video files fail to export

I have trimmed some (90) large video files (both MP4 & .MOV) in LR Classic 11.5 and when I click on "Export" I get a status bar, but no progress... no matter how long I wait.

I'm using a pretty hefty Dell PC and work with Lightroom every day, but I have no experience using video files outside of Final Cut Pro. I tried transferring the files from an external SSD to my internal/C drive, exporting one file at a time, re-launching LR, rebooting my PC. nothing works.

I don't want to load 40gb of video into FCP when I only need a couple of seconds from each. Any ideas what might be going on?
