Using Web to build a gallery in Wordpress

Hi

I am in the process of building a blog using WordPress.org. I would like to put galleries, generated by LR, in pages of the blog. I understand how to use the Web part of LR and can generate the code. After that I'm lost--very lost!

I have tried pasting the code that lightroom generates onto a page using the "html" editor. This prints "Web Photo Gallery created by Adobe Lightroom," followed by a column of numbers, and then 1, 2, previous, next. No photos.

Is it, indeed, possible to use the LR code to create a gallery in Wordpress?

If so, how does one accomplish this?

Why not take a look at SlideShowPro? They have something called SlidePress, their add-in for Wordpress.

If you really want a slick solution, you could then use their Director service, either hosted by you or them. The updating process then becomes very easy:

1. Select images in LR
2. Export using SSP's Director plug-in which sends the files to the Director host folder
3. Create your WordPress / SlidePress post

I think this would be a lot easier than trying to shoehorn LR web galleries into WordPress format, require you to learn a lot less code, and be really easy to update. How does it sound?
