using paste

I know this is a b/w ?, but , I saw the paste and copy buttons and now I need to know what uses do they have in lr 2.2

Images, I presume you're referring to the Copy/Paste buttons, lower Left Hand Panel in Develop?

Simple enough, select an image, click Copy. A dialog pops up with all pertinent adjustments in a checkbox format. Choose the settings you'd like to transfer to other photo(s), also there's a Check All, or Check None to clear the box. Click 'Copy' to save your choices.

Then, select target photo(s) and click 'Paste'. The saved Copy settings will be applied to the target Paste photos. The saved Copy settings will remain in effect for additional Paste operations, until you reset them by starting over with the Copy button.
