Hi,

Does anyone have suggestions about an easy way to use LR as my main prgm (catalog, main correcions) but just do printing (and further corrections) in PhotoElements (6)?

Do I have to export, or what?

What I like about LR is the total view. It s my libray.

Why would you want to do that when LR has more options for developing than PSE and probably for printing as well - and all non destructively to coin that phrase?

Willem,

After you get finished with the image in LR, just right-click and select "Edit in Photoshop Elements" and your image will open in Elements. From there you can do whatever local corrections you want, resize and print.

Just a question, though: Why NOT print from LR? For the most part, printing from LR is a lot easier and faster than going through all the print setup necessary in Elements or PS. Although I'm getting really aggravated with the lack of soft-proofing in LR, I will say that most of my images print well straight from the Print module and the ability to save presets for different combinations of sizes, layouts, papers and printers is a Godsend! I recently printed a series of test prints in CS3 and Nikon's Capture NX and the experience was almost comparable to a bad day at the dentist....:frown::frown:

On the other hand, I have 3 photo printers, 2 laser printers, 24 boxes of assorted sheet paper and 4 boxes of roll paper, all of various sizes and types laying around, not to mention 3 sample packs.... I guess if I just had one printer and a couple of sizes of paper I might be OK with printing from PS.

In other threads here, Willem's been having unsatisfactory printing from LR, due to irreconcilable differences in printer drivers somewhere. As I've read recently here somewhere, it's annoying to waste paper and ink on poor reproductions. He's had more success with PSE and is using it as a work-around.

You are right.
Just want to us PSE for printiong at the moment.
Should have thought about the mentioned tip going in developement mode and choose PSE.

As for now I cannot understand why LR and PSE do so different jobs with my printer.

Thanks all for responding.
