Desktop cc - So I have set a user preset for a Linear Grad, I activate the preset, then I click on the preset symbol on the RHS of screen expecting to see the "button" for the grad on the photo, but there is nothing there - this has happened several times now? Worked fine on iPhone ?

It has now appeared after about 5 minutes! Can't be syncing or whatever for that long?

The button? Like the grey dot that shows where the existing grad is on the photo?

This is getting really frustrating - should have stayed with LR Classic desktop - My user presets work fine on iPhone, but I seem to be having trouble on the desktop. So I rest a photo to original, then make a linear grad with adjustments to exposure, highlights, Shadows, Clarity, Dehaze - then click "..." Create Preset - do that - it appears in my user preset list - but when I go to another photo and use it nothing happens!?

Slow down Chris, I get that you're frustrated, but let's take it one step at a time.

Let's ask the obvious... when you created the preset, which sections were checked? Had you included the Linear Gradient in it? Linear Gradient is under the Tools section. See the diagram on page 165 of your book to see what I mean.

Oh, and had you actually applied the linear grad to the photo? You hadn't just moved the sliders?

Aha - maybe not - I assumed that because I had used a "Tool" that LR would know that - saw all the other boxes checked but didnt notice Tools wasnt! Sorry to bother you all again. Yes it works now - Thanks

Great, that's what we're here for!
