user order

Is it possible to transfer a user order to another folder.
What I mean is .....
i've got about 7'' wedding photos in a folder , filtered down to all 4 star images to make it 4'' pics. I've then re-arranged these pics in the order I wanted them. Then to diplay them on the web I create a new folder and export all 4'' out to 6'' pixels wide and add my watermark with "mogrify".This folder will then be used in the web section to create a gallery. The files however come into the folder in a different order , meaning I have to re-arrange them again. Can I transfer the "user order" from the previous folder?

Lightroom is arranging them according to the parameter set in the Sort tool on the tool bar. If you export them with a sequential numbering scheme instead of the original file name they will come back into Lightroom in the correct order. You could set it to export as Whatever+Sequence '''1 + Original File Number and preserve your original file numbers.

Typically, after I have filtered out the images, I make a collection from them, rename after resorting them in the collection and then the problem never comes up.
