Can some please point me in the right direction to assess the user manual. Just bought the HD today and plan to use it in RAID 1.

All good, contacted WD and a link was provided. Currently reading it prior to set up. I am using Windows 11

In Reference to your other WD MyBook thread, no one recommended using RAID for any reason. Why do you think you need to use RAID1?

I configured RAID-1 auto backup.
"It is essential to note that while RAID 1 offers protection against hardware failures, it does not safeguard against other forms of data loss, such as accidental deletion or malware attacks. To mitigate these risks, it is crucial to have a comprehensive backup strategy that complements the RAID 1 setup."

RAID 1 is a mirror of one disk to the other. It offers no protection for other critical user data on other volumes IOW it is not comprehensive. If you overwrite or delete a critical file on one volume, it will be over written or deleted on the other volume as well with no recovery. There is no version control. If you want to recover a file that was "correct" 6 months ago but has been changed since then, you can not do this. As the quote above points out, you still need a comprehensive backup strategy that protects this volume's files against the deficiencies of RAID1 and all of your other criticial user data on other volumes.
