Uploading Web Galleries

Can someone explain to me how to use the upload settings portion for the web gallery?

I'd like to put the gallery I've created into a subfolder of my website. Am I supposed to type anything in the full path box? I've tried playing around with it and it seems that what ever I'm doing interferes with my website server and then you can no longer access my main page.

My goal is to load the gallery so it can be accessed by typing in:
www.websitename.com/galleryname/index

In the Upload Settings pane, you'll find a pull-down to the right of FTP Server. Click this and select Edit. A window will pop-up with some configuration settings for your server.

Fill in your FTP address for server. Provide your username and password.

For Server Path, you need to provide the path you'd like LR to use as your root. For example, on my server, I need to set the path as /public_html/.

With these settings in place, you can click OK.

Now, back in the Upload Settings pane, you'll be able to specify a subfolder for each gallery by clicking the Put in Subfolder checkbox. You can specify a longer path, if you'd like. If you check the box and tell it "gallery", then you'll get this:

www.domain.com/gallery/

But if you enter a longer address, you can bury things in folders. Enter "galleries/2''8'81'" and you'll get this:

www.domain.com/galleries/2''8'81'/
